Cuervo Pull Even With 6-3 Victory

The home crowd had a good time watching the Havana Comrades and San Jose Cuervo get after it.
San Jose third baseman Miguel Guerrero helped his team beat the Havana Comrades, 6-3. Guerrero, who is tied for 10th in the FR in bases on balls with 10, went 2 for 2 for the Cuervo. San Jose reliever Chad Smith picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Alfredo Fernández absorbed the loss.
The Cuervo got a big at-bat from second baseman Bruce Anderson. For the game, Anderson was 1-3 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 4th double of the season gave San Jose a 4-3 lead.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Guerrero.
The Comrades, now 6-14, continue their inauspicious start.
