The Iowa Crop Circles could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Fernando Farías into a win. Instead, the Redstone Ridge Raptors prevailed, 8-4. Farías threw 6.1 innings allowing 2 runs. David Maddux came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. His record now stands at 3-1. The Crop Circles, now 8-14, continue their slow start.

Redstone relied on the hitting of Kiyohisa Saito to pick up the win. The left fielder ripped a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Ridge Raptors on top, 5-4. For the game, Saito had 1 triple and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.

"We're not exactly playing great right now," said Andy Ward, the Iowa manager.
