Cheesesteaks Even Record with 13-6 Victory
Cheesesteaks center fielder Ron Clark left his mark on his team's 13-6 win over the Mexico City Diablos. Clark was 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for Philadelphia in the contest. The win belonged to Paul Davis in relief. His record improves to 1-0. I-tsing Kui took the loss for Mexico City. The Diablos drop to 7-15, as their fitful start to the 2072 campaign continues.

The Diablos had been locked in a 4-4 tie with the Cheesesteaks going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 35-year old right fielder Manuel Vega came to the plate. Vega hit a 2-run double on a 1-2 fastball from Mexico City hurler I-tsing Kui. It was Vega's 5th double of the year.

In postgame comments to the Philadelphia Herald, Clark said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
