Reading Upended by Boston, 7-4
|
Aaron Jackson was a major factor in the 7-4 Boston win over Reading. The Revolution pitcher came in in relief and pitched to 28 batters. Boston reliever Aaron Jackson got the win, raising his record to 1-0. José Méndez was tagged with the loss. The Railbirds drop to 7-13.
The Revolution got a big at-bat from designated hitter Manny Flores. For the game, Flores was 1-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Boston a 4-3 lead.
"We're all smiles after that win," Flores told the Boston News.
