The Vermont Lake Monsters grabbed a win, 4-3, over the Keg Creek Coyotes in 10 innings at Welsh Field. Vermont left fielder Sancho Ortíz was 4-5 with 4 singles. He drove in 2 runs. Vermont reliever Iván Ruíz snagged the win, upping his record to 3-1. Alan Johnson shouldered the loss. The Coyotes, at 7-16, have stumbled out of the gate.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With one out, Ortíz hit a sinker from Alan Johnson for a run-scoring single. The Lake Monsters, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"Our team found a way to get it done," said Ortíz.
