Boston used a superb performance from starting pitcher Mike Tanner to down the Reading Railbirds, 3-1. The victory makes Boston 10-13.

Had Yajirobei Shini not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Shini hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Revolution.
