The Alcatraz Island Jail Break defeated the Laredo Border Jumpers, 7-3, at BackWet Stadium. Alcatraz Island was led by 2074 Diamond Debut Award winner Steve Decker, who went 3-5 with 2 doubles. He scored 2 times. The defeat makes the Border Jumpers 8-14.

Gerardo Zumaya had a big 2-run double for the Jail Break in the top of the third inning. With Alcatraz Island leading 5-2 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a sinker from two-time All-Star Jaime Ruíz and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 3rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Jail Break ahead, 7-2.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Zumaya.
