Ridge Raptors Deal Railbirds 6-4 Loss
|
The Redstone Ridge Raptors faced a tough opponent in Reading pitcher Adrián Jiménez, but still scratched out a win at Schuylkill Landing Park by a final score of 6-4 in 10 innings. Jiménez went 6 innings and allowed 1 run. Redstone is now 16-8.
The game was at a stalemate until third baseman Gilberto Torres came to bat in the top of the tenth. Facing Reading pitcher Robby Allen, he hit a first pitch fastball for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Redstone on top, 6-4.
