Ozark right fielder Alex Smith contributed significantly to his team's 6-1 win over the Newark Falcons. Smith, who finished 4th in the AP in batting average with .316 in 2068, went 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Outlaws. The Outlaws, now 16-6, have been sizzling early on.

Early in the game, Smith had a 2-run home run for Ozark. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Outlaws on top, 2-0.
