The Amarillo Chicken Haulers downed the Keg Creek Coyotes, 7-6, at The Chicken Coop. The Chicken Haulers were led by Héctor González. González was 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. Amarillo reliever Bill Roberts picked up the win, while Ed Clarke took the loss for Keg Creek. The Coyotes, now 7-17, continue their inauspicious start.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With two out, González hit a circle change from Ed Clarke for a run-scoring single. The Chicken Haulers, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
