Ozark beat Michigan in a rain-soaked ballgame.
The Ozark Outlaws overcame a good performance by Michigan designated hitter Ed Vance to knock off Michigan, 6-4, at Incest Stadium. Vance was 2 for 2 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Arthur Childers, the winner, improved to 2-2. He held Michigan to 4 runs on 6 hits over 5 innings, while racking up 8 strikeouts.
Clint Lambert helped out the Ozark cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the catcher was 1-2.
"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Lambert.
Ozark goes to 14-10.
