The Newark Falcons defeated the West Island Storm, 6-3. Center Fielder Peter Norman deserved a large share of the credit. Norman was 2 for 4 with a double and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Falcons. Newark pitcher Juan Vargas got the win, upping his record to 3-2. António Olivo got the loss. Luis Durán recorded the save for Newark, his 6th of the season.

The Falcons benefited from a costly error in the top of the seventh. With George Brooks at bat and Newark leading 4-3, the West Island miscue allowed Newark to plate 1 and take the lead, 5-3.

"I still think this team can play even better," Brooks told the Newark Daily.

The loss drops the Storm to 7-17.
