The Iowa Crop Circles welcomed the Mexico City Diablos to an night game at The Cornfield.
The Iowa Crop Circles used an offensive barrage to beat the Mexico City Diablos, 14-1, at The Cornfield. Emílio Ibarra, who won the Diamond Debut Award in 2062, led the way, going 4-for-5 for Iowa. Ricardo Cardenas, the winner, goes to 2-2. He allowed 1 run on 4 hits, with 4 walks and 5 strikeouts over 6 innings. Manuel Aguilar earned the save for Iowa, his 1st of the year.
Gonzalo Gredillas, who led the AP in OPS with 1.091 in 2064, came through for Iowa with a grand slam home run in the bottom of the fourth. The first baseman went 3 for 5 for the game, including 1 home run and 2 doubles. He scored 2 runs and collected 6 RBI.
