Border Jumpers Score Late, Topple Revolution, 4-1

The Laredo Border Jumpers faced a tough opponent in Boston pitcher Lonnie Reynolds, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Jackie Robinson Place by a final score of 4-1. Reynolds went 7 innings and allowed no runs. The winner was Laredo reliever Arturo Baca, now 1-0. The loser was Gerardo González. Andrew Dougherty nailed down his 5th save.
Laredo used a clutch hit from Wilson Ransom to get the win. The third baseman drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Border Jumpers ahead, 4-1. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
Ransom called the win "a collective effort."
The win gives the Border Jumpers a record of 10-15.
