Extra-Inning Win by Rum Runners Over Militia
The Orlando Rum Runners faced a tough opponent in Michigan pitcher Riku Mainila, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Krono Field by a final score of 5-4. Mainila went 6 innings and allowed 1 run. The win belongs to Fernando Medina in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Lane Davis took the loss for Michigan. The win brings the Rum Runners to 16-9, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.

The Rum Runners procured the win, in large part because of shortstop Manuel Ortíz. In the bottom of the 11th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.

"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Ortíz said.
