The Minneapolis Maulers beat the Cape Canaveral Launch, 7-6, at Launch Pad. Greg Fisher starred for Minneapolis. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Minneapolis reliever Luke Butler picked up the win, upping his record to 1-3. Nick Sharpley absorbed the loss. Greg Douglas recorded the save for Minneapolis, his 2nd of the season.

The game was at a stalemate until first baseman Juan Jose López came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Cape Canaveral pitcher Nick Sharpley, he hit a 1-0 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Minneapolis on top, 7-6.

"It never gets old," said López. "Winning, that is."

With the loss, Cape Canaveral is 12-13.
