Redstone Wins, 4-3, Over Railbirds
|
Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the Redstone Ridge Raptors and Reading Railbirds.
The Redstone Ridge Raptors picked up a win at Schuylkill Landing Park, knocking off the Reading Railbirds, 4-3, in 10 innings. Starting pitcher Chris Hall played a key role in the triumph. Reliever John Cunningham picked up the win. His record improves to 3-0. Carlos Caro, who finished 3rd in the FR in wins with 17 in 2070, took the loss.
Ángel Pérez, who is tied for 10th in the FR in total bases with 46, had a direct impact on the outcome. Pérez contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put Redstone up, 4-3.
"Tough ballgame, tough loss," said Reading manager Slam Dunks.
Redstone, now 18-8, has played well in the early going.
