Ridge Raptors Drop Cheesesteaks, 6-4
|
The Redstone Ridge Raptors beat the Philadelphia Cheesesteaks, 6-4. Redstone pitcher and Yonkers, New York, native Mark Anthony led the way. Anthony, now 3-3, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 2, walking 3, and allowing 4 runs. Jeff Johns finished to wrap up his 7th save.
Kip Collins, the 31-year old catcher , had a direct impact on the outcome. Collins contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the second inning to put Redstone up, 1-0.
"It's a good day to be a fan after a win like that," Collins told the Redstone Bulletin.
The loss drops Philadelphia to 14-10.
