Orlando Makes It 7 Straight with 3-2 Win
The Orlando Rum Runners got a stellar effort from pitcher Alberto Pérez, helping Orlando score a win over the visiting Michigan Militia, 3-2. The winner in relief was Gerald Martin. He is now 1-0. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. The Rum Runners, now 17-9, have been red hot.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Orlando left fielder Derek Gibson, facing Roderick Pérez, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Rum Runners the 3-2 win.

"It was sure nice to get the win but there's a lot of baseball left," Gibson after the game.
