Amarillo third baseman Matt Gonzáles played a vital role in his team's 8-1 conquest of Atlantic City. He was 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 4 times for Amarillo. Amarillo goes to 12-14.

Amarillo designated hitter Bill Foley contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the seventh. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 26th hit of the season and put the Chicken Haulers ahead, 3-1.
