The Iowa Crop Circles picked up a win at William Penn Park, knocking off the Philadelphia Cheesesteaks, 4-3. Starting pitcher Fernando Farías played a key role in the triumph. Farías yielded 3 runs over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 2, and struck out 6. His record improves to 3-3. Miguel Cervantes got the save, the 10th for him this season.
Alfonso Aguilar, who is tied for 7th in the FR in doubles with 8, had a direct impact on the outcome. Aguilar contributed a 2-run single in the top of the sixth inning to put Iowa up, 4-3.
"If you ever get this game figured out," said Philadelphia manager Joey Santangelo, "let me know."
With the loss, Philadelphia falls to 16-11.
