The Death Valley Burn did just enough to secure a victory over the Redstone Ridge Raptors, 2-1, at The Raptor's Nest. Nobody did more than pitcher Aaron Frow. John Gates nailed down his 4th save. Now 12-17, the Ridge Raptors have not played well this season.
Death Valley needed the clutch hitting of Mark Hancock to notch the win. The first baseman hammered a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Burn on top, 2-1. For the game, Hancock had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Frow told the Death Valley Daily News.
