Ridge Raptors Snatch Late-Game, 6-5 Win
|
Thanks in large part to right fielder Máximo Delgado, the Redstone Ridge Raptors beat the Honolulu High Tide, 6-5. Delgado went 2 for 4 with a double and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Redstone reliever David Maddux was the winner. His record is now 3-1. The losing pitcher was Edgar Arroyo. Redstone goes to 17-12.
Gilberto Torres was the walk-off hero for Redstone. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Ridge Raptors third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"The crowd was boisterous tonight," said Delgado.
