Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Crab Apple Cove Mashers and the Keg Creek Coyotes. Crab Apple Cove won it, 2-1. Crab Apple Cove starter Jorge Romero was in command. Romero picked up the win for Crab Apple Cove, going 6 innings. He gave up no runs on 2 hits. He now sports a record of 3-2. Howard Davis wrapped it up, recording his 3rd save.
Dalton Crowe, who is tied for 4th in the FR in hits with 43, helped out the Crab Apple Cove cause in the bottom of the fifth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the designated hitter was 1 for 3.
"Things will change for us," said Keg Creek manager James DaBears. "When things change, we'll get clicking."
The setback makes the Coyotes 10-22.
