Burn Lose By a Run at Washington, 3-2
|
The Washington Monuments eked out a 3-2 win versus the Death Valley Burn at The Grand Lodge. Nobody did more than pitcher José Féliz. He was terrific. Féliz got the win, improving to 3-3. He allowed 5 hits and walked 2 over 6.1 innings. Féliz allowed 2 runs. With the win, Washington upped its record to 18-15.
Rodrigo Carrillo, who led the AP in RBI with 125 last year, helped out the Washington cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the right fielder went 1 for 4.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Death Valley manager Kevin Heiser. "The effort was great."
