In a low-scoring contest between the Death Valley Burn and the Reading Railbirds, Alexander Magee was the X factor. The Death Valley left-hander spearheaded the 2-1 win. Brandon Holcomb earned the save for Death Valley, his 1st. With the loss, Reading falls to 1-2.
Jon Benavidez contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With a runner on 1st, he hit a single. His at-bat helped Death Valley get the win.
