Reading used a superb performance from starting pitcher Joe Cunningham to down the Death Valley Burn, 10-0. Cunningham yielded no runs over 5.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 1, and struck out 8. His record improves to 4-1. Reading is now 19-20, Death Valley 19-19.

Reading got a big at-bat from Denver City, Texas native Jorge Flores, who in the bottom of the third hit a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Railbirds ahead, 7-0.

"The Railbirds definitely had our number," said Death Valley manager .
