The Newark Falcons used a great performance from former first round draft pick Duncan Watson to beat the Washington Monuments, 2-1, at Falcons Field. The second-place Monuments have lost 4 consecutive games.

Brian Peña, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2071 draft, helped out the Newark cause in the bottom of the fifth inning with a run-scoring ground out. For the game, the second baseman drove in one run.

"My job is to throw quality pitches, go as deep as I can, and give us an opportunity," said Watson.
