Burn Clip Mashers in Tight Contest, 2-1

The Death Valley Burn got a stellar performance from pitcher António Mireles, who handcuffed the Crab Apple Cove offense en route to a win, 2-1, at The Burn Yard. Death Valley is now 22-19.
Rick Garland was the walk-off hero for Death Valley. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Burn center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Crab Apple Cove manager Jared Margolies.
