Lambert Leads Outlaws to 11-7 Win Over Aces
|
The Ozark Outlaws saddled the Atlantic City Aces with a loss at Incest Stadium. The final score was 11-7. Clint Lambert was 2 for 4, including 1 single and 1 home run. The Ozark catcher scored 1 run and drove in 6. Matt Thompson picked up the win, improving his season record to 3-3. He struck out 7 in 5.1 innings. The save was credited to Ricardo Pérez, his 12th.
With Ozark leading 4-0 in the bottom of the third, Lambert came up to bat against Atlantic City pitcher Mike Salas. Lambert hit a slider to left for a grand slam home run. His 6th home run of the season put the Outlaws on top, 8-0.
"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Lambert.
With the win, Ozark has a record of 25-18. Atlantic City falls to 25-17.
