Storm Win with Late Rally
|
West Island Storm starter Roberto Flores took the mound against the Keg Creek Coyotes at Hot Box; and, when all was said and done, the left-hander led his team to an extra-inning, 3-2 win. John Hébert, now 4-0, was credited with the win in 2 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits, while striking out 0 and walking 0. West Island , with the win, climbs to 13-30.
The Storm got a clutch hit from left fielder Rafael Aguilar. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Storm.
"We battled our tails off to get this win," said West Island manager Matthew Tietz.
