Launch Take Tight Tangle
|
No one was more impactful than Ronnie Yan in an extra-inning, 3-2 Cape Canaveral win over Minneapolis. Yan, who finished 4th in the AP in batting average with .330 in 2072, was 2-5 with 2 singles. Will Powell earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. His record is now 2-0. The third-place Launch are now 22-22, the Maulers 22-22.
Johnny Dickshot, who is tied for 8th in the AP in bases on balls with 21, had a direct impact on the outcome. Dickshot contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the 12th inning to put Cape Canaveral up, 3-2.
Cape Canaveral manager Mike Best called it "a pretty good win."
