In a low-scoring contest between the Orlando Rum Runners and the Cape Canaveral Launch, former first round draft pick Bill Young proved to be the difference. The Orlando right-hander earned props for his performance in the 2-0 Rum Runners win. Young got the win, improving to 3-1. He gave up 4 hits and walked 0 over 6 innings. He allowed no runs. The Rum Runners raised their record to 24-21.

Bobby Martin was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk for Orlando. The 24-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring walk off Tim Estes. It was his 4th walk of the season.
