Launch Pull Off Thrilling 4-2 Win in Extras
|
Cape Canaveral got a strong outing from Tim Estes as the Launch defeated the Minneapolis Maulers, 4-2, at MacLaren Stadium. Will Powell earned the save for Cape Canaveral, his 3rd. The Launch go to 23-22, putting them third in the Appalachian Coastal.
Cape Canaveral used the timely hitting of Richard Elmore to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Launch on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Estes said.
