Fans were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Philadelphia Cheesesteaks take on the Death Valley Burn.

Starting pitcher John Allain pitched well enough to help the Death Valley Burn beat the Philadelphia Cheesesteaks, 4-3. The win puts Death Valley at 3-3.

Sergio López, the 29-year old right fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. López contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put Death Valley up, 2-0.

"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Allain said.
