Ozark Bats Go Silent in 3-0 Loss
|
Minneapolis used a superb performance from starting pitcher Jeff McAfee to down the Ozark Outlaws, 3-0. McAfee got the win, improving to 1-5. He allowed 3 hits and walked 4 over 5 innings. McAfee allowed no runs. The Outlaws, at 25-22, have lost 5 in a row.
The Maulers got a big at-bat from left fielder Leslie Parkinson. For the game, Parkinson went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 12th home run of the season gave Minneapolis a 2-0 lead.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Parkinson said.
