The St. Paul Bearers eked out a 2-1 win versus the Redstone Ridge Raptors at Casket County Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher John Wilson. He was terrific. Bob McKinney finished the game for St. Paul and earned his 2nd save. With the win, St. Paul elevates its record to 2-4.

Had Melvin Flowers not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Flowers hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Bearers.

"I felt we were ready to go," said St. Paul manager Mitchell Slacko. "Our pregame was pretty good."
