The first-place Orlando Rum Runners picked up another win.

Orlando second baseman Mike Allen played a vital role in his team's 5-3 triumph over Minneapolis. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for Orlando. The winning pitcher was Alberto Pérez. His record is now 4-0. The right-hander went 7.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 9 hits for the Rum Runners. Bartolo Salazar sewed up the save, his 1st.

The Rum Runners got an important contribution from left fielder Jermaine Carney, who in the bottom of the first punched a 1-0 cutter into right-center for a 2-run triple. It was his 1st triple of the season and put the Rum Runners ahead, 3-0.
