Launch Down Monuments, 3-0
|
In a tight game between the Cape Canaveral Launch and the Washington Monuments, pitcher Gordon Ziersch was terrific on the mound. The Cape Canaveral right-hander helped his team to the 3-0 win. Cape Canaveral, at 39-9, is 10 games up in the Appalachian Coastal.
Though he did not get the decision, Ziersch did all he could to keep his team close, twirling a shutout through 7 innings, until Cape Canaveral eventually rallied past the Monuments.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Cape Canaveral manager said.
