Cheesesteaks Prevail, 3-1, Over Boston
|
In a low-scoring game between the Philadelphia Cheesesteaks and the Boston Revolution, pitcher Jorge Yánez was masterful on the mound. The Philadelphia right-hander spearheaded his team's 3-1 win. Ernest Reese recorded the save, his 13th. With the win, Philadelphia upped its record to 29-19.
One of the key players for the Cheesesteaks was shortstop Anastasio Gormé, who drilled a double in the bottom of the fifth inning. For the game, Gormé was 2-3 with a double.
"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Yánez.
