Baker Homers Twice in 5-2 Lake Monsters Win
The Vermont Lake Monsters beat the Orlando Rum Runners, 5-2, at Krono Field. Vermont left fielder Justin Baker had an outstanding performance. He hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Hoyt Murphy earned the win to go to 1-0. He allowed 2 runs on 8 hits, with no walks and 13 strikeouts in 8 innings of work. The win puts Vermont at 5-1.

With Vermont leading 3-2 in the top of the ninth, Baker hit a cutter from David Flint for a 2-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Lake Monsters ahead, 5-2.
