Launch Earn 2-0 Road Win Over Newark
|
In a tight game between the Cape Canaveral Launch and the Newark Falcons, pitcher Ernesto Alary was terrific on the mound. The Cape Canaveral right-hander helped his team to the 2-0 win. Will Powell nailed down his 5th save. Cape Canaveral has a record of 25-24, placing them third in the Appalachian Coastal.
Fernando Borges, who finished 3rd in the AP in on-base percentage with .423 last year, had a direct impact on the outcome. Borges contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Cape Canaveral up, 2-0.
Said Newark manager : "When you don't score, it's never a good thing."
