Monuments Come Back Late to Top Coyotes, 11-5
Washington took on Keg Creek in front of a lively crowd.

The Washington Monuments topped the Keg Creek Coyotes, 11-5, at Coyote Den Stadium. Washington first baseman Joe Williams was a spark plug for the offense. He was 1 for 3 with a home run, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Bob McKinney sewed up the save, his 1st.

In the top of the eighth, the Monuments grabbed the lead when Williams hit his 5th home run of the season. The grand slam home run off Dave Combs made it 6-4, Washington.

"I was just going up there trying to see good pitches, that was about it," said Williams.

With the win, the Monuments have a record of 25-24.
