Burn Lose, 3-0, at The Raptor's Nest
|
The Raptor's Nest was the site for Frontier action featuring the Death Valley Burn and Redstone Ridge Raptors.
Redstone took on Death Valley in a contest which featured a pitchers' duel. Gerald Tynsdale, in particular, was fantastic. The Redstone right-hander helped his team snag the win, 3-0. Tynsdale yielded no runs over 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 2, and struck out 9. His record improves to 4-4. Mike Hurt finished to wrap up his 19th save.
Aaron Allen had a big run-scoring double for the Ridge Raptors in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Redstone leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he got a sinker from two-time All-Star Raúl Adame and swatted a double to right. It was his 5th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Ridge Raptors ahead, 2-0.
"We put together a nice win," Allen said.
Redstone is now 30-19. Death Valley is 21-29.
