Diablos Win, Carson has 3 RBI

Dave Carson was a major contributor to the 5-3 Mexico City win over Crab Apple Cove. The Diablos catcher went 1-1 with a home run and 3 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Fernando Guzmán came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record now stands at 3-3. Dan Miller was credited with the save for Mexico City, his 12th of the season.
Carson had a timely hit for Mexico City in the bottom of the eighth. With Crab Apple Cove trailing 3-2, he turned a 1-0 fastball into a 3-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season, making it 5-3, Mexico City.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Mexico City manager Nathan Hasselt.
The win for the Diablos raised their record to 31-18.
