Philadelphia Cheesesteaks starter Ron Collins turned in an exceptional performance against the Glacier Bay Ice Pirates at Liquor Luge, resulting in a Philadelphia win, 4-2. Philadelphia, at 27-21, is 4½ games up in the Frontier Northern.
Right Fielder Steve Baker made an impact for Philadelphia, when he swatted a 2-run double off Salvador García in the top of the fifth. For the contest, Baker went 2-5 with a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Philadelphia manager Joey Santangelo.
