7-6 Loss Deepens Glacier Bay Funk
The Glacier Bay Ice Pirates got a sterling performance from pitcher Jeffrey O'Slattery, but the Iowa Crop Circles still prevailed, 7-6. O'Slattery threw 7.1 innings of 2-hit ball. The save went to David Hodge, his 15th this season. This loss makes it 7 in a row for Glacier Bay.

Iowa used a timely hit from Eric Warren to get the win. The catcher stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Crop Circles ahead, 7-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Warren, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
