High Tide Nip Outlaws, 2-1

Crowds lined up early in front of Incest Stadium, eagerly awaiting the start of the 2070 Pioneers of the Diamond season. On the mound was Stephen Brooks for the visiting Honolulu High Tide and José Alba for the hometown Ozark Outlaws. In a spirited contest, the High Tide pulled out the win, defeating the Outlaws by the score of 2-1. Especially impressive was Stephen Brooks. Earning his 1st save for Honolulu was Edgar Arroyo.
Honolulu used a timely hit from Ben Bancroft to get the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the High Tide ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it made an impact.
Bancroft called the win the result of "everyone working in tandem."
