Ravens Trip Militia, 8-5, in Extra Innings
|
The Richmond Ravens knocked off the Michigan Militia, 8-5, at Assembly Line Grounds. Félix Martínez was a big reason Richmond won. The left fielder was 3 for 5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 5. Richmond has a record of 2-2.
Richmond used a timely hit from Hiroshi Sato to get the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Ravens ahead, 6-5. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"We'll put that win in the can," said Martínez, "and go after the next one."
