Boston turned a good effort from starter Greg Payne into a win over the Death Valley Burn at The Burn Yard. The final score was 6-2. The Revolution are now 26-28, while the Burn fall to 28-25.
Boston relied on the bat of Alfredo Becerra to get the win. The first baseman ripped a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Revolution ahead, 4-2. For the game, Becerra had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.
"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Payne told the Boston News.
