The Iowa Crop Circles got a superb performance from pitcher Erik Watson, but the Boston Revolution still won the game, 5-3. Watson threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball. Josh Parker earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 3 runs on 3 hits in 2 innings. He upped his record to 2-2. Getting the save was Martin Wilson, his 3rd.

Frank Fritz took Iowa hurler Erik Watson deep in the bottom of the fifth. His 2-run home run put the Revolution on top, 2-0. In all, Fritz had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"I felt good up there," said Fritz. "I saw the ball well."

By defeating Iowa, the last-place Revolution improved to 26-30.
