The Washington Monuments picked up a win at Krono Field, taking down the Orlando Rum Runners, 5-3. Starting pitcher José Féliz was a big reason why. Brandon Holcomb, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 20th save. The Monuments now own a record of 27-31.

Washington used the clutch hitting of Tomokazu Kouda to capture the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to give the Monuments the lead, 4-2. For the game, Kouda had 1 single and 1 double in 2 at-bats.

Kouda called the win "a collective effort."
