Richmond Ravens starter Gerardo Polanco pitched effectively against the Cape Canaveral Launch at Launch Pad. The right-hander spearheaded his team's 2-0 win. Polanco yielded no runs over 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 2 hits, walked 1, and struck out 6. His record improves to 4-1. With the win, Richmond upped its record to 34-26.
Richmond used a well-timed hit by Clifford Duncan to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Ravens ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
"We didn't score," said losing manager Mike Best. "That was the problem."
