Railbirds Win, 5-1, at Iowa
|
Spirited fans greeted the Iowa Crop Circles for their clash with the Reading Railbirds.
Due in large part to center fielder Ryan Hunt, the Reading Railbirds sunk the Iowa Crop Circles, 5-1. Hunt was 2-5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Reading reliever Stan Webb was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Sam Woodward.
Early in the game, Hunt had a 2-run home run for Reading. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Railbirds on top, 2-0.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Hunt.
The victory gives the Railbirds a record of 34-25.
