Corbin Shines in 8-3 Iowa Win
The Iowa Crop Circles topped the Reading Railbirds, 8-3, with catcher Kenny Corbin playing a big role. Corbin went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Crop Circles in the win. The winning pitcher was five-time All-Star Luis Santiago Jr.. He tossed 118 pitches over 7 innings, allowing no runs on 4 hits. Iowa is now 26-35, while Reading is 34-26.

Iowa second baseman Fred Cole contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two down, he hit a fastball to right field for a run-scoring single. It was his 43rd hit of the season and put the Crop Circles ahead, 2-0.
