The Washington Monuments got a stellar performance from pitcher Chad Smith, who handcuffed the Orlando offense en route to a win, 3-0, at Krono Field. Smith went 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5. His record improves to 7-3. Brandon Holcomb got the save, the 18th for him this season.

Leslie Small, the 2066 Diamond Debut Award winner , had a direct impact on the outcome. Small contributed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put Washington up, 2-0.

"We put together a nice win," Small said.
